General Assembly's Web Development Immersive course is an intense 12-week course that will teach you the fundamentals of web development and programming, front and back end. Build a work-ready skill set and acquire fluency in full stack web development, develop a portfolio of projects and get ready to enter the fray in an entry-level role as a junior web developer.
This course is ideal for beginners who may have some prior experience with web design but would like to formalise their knowledge or consolidate their core skill base.
Students will learn the basics of programming languages before progressing to more advanced skills. The program wil also include how to organise workflow, manage projects, work in a team and create a portfolio.

- Week 3: Databases, Introduction to Ruby on Rails
- Week 4: Ruby on Rails
- Week 6: AJAX

- Week 8: Integrating with External APIs
- Week 9: Computer Science
- Week 10: Advanced Ruby on Rails
- Week 12: Security, Performance, and Optimisation
After completing this course, graduates will be able to program websites and apps for themselves and for clients. You will be able to apply for roles as a web developer.
There are no entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have a base knowledge of web design.
This course runs full-time for 12 weeks in Sydney and Melbourne.
