The purpose of the Foundation qualification is to provide students with in depth knowledge and understanding on the concepts, structures and duties of P3O.


Features of the exam:

  • A closed book exam
  • Multiple-choice
  • 50 questions per paper with 1 mark available per question
  • 40 minutes to complete
  • Candidates need to achieve a mark of 30 (60%) or more to pass.
  • The Invigilator will mark this paper and provide interim results on the same day, they will then be confirmed by APMG.

 

P3O Practitioner qualification

The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to provide students with in depth knowledge and understanding on the pratical application of the P3O guidance.

Features of the exam:

  • An open book exam (Manual Only)
  • 7 questions per paper, 70 marks available in total
  • 2¼ hours to complete
  • Candidates need to achieve a mark of 35 (50%) or more to pass
  • Papers are sent to APMG for marking, results take 2–3 weeks.

 

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for the P3O Foundation qualification, however students would benefit from having some project or PMO support experience.

Students must pass the Foundation exam as a prerequisite for the P3O Practitioner Course and Exam.
