The nationally recognised Diploma of Human Resource Management qualification is designed to further develop your skills across a wide range of business and HR functions. The course is practical and relevant to an ever changing corporate and consumer environment, and it will give you the edge you need to stand out in a competitive, business world.
The Diploma of Human Resources Management is ideal for prospective students who are already in supervisory roles, including executive officer, program coordinator, and program consultant. The role may be in any industry or organisational setting.
Students will develop skills in workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, HR policies and processes, and strategic human resource systems.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Human Resources Management, graduates can apply for roles including:
- Human resources manager
- Human resources consultant/adviser
- Line manager, supervisor or team leader
- Recruitment specialist
- Change manager
Graduates will also be eligible to apply for articulation into degree programs such as the Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Human Resource Management, and the Bachelor of Accounting at a number of universities.
For entry requirements into the Diploma of Human Resources Management you need to:
- Meet any specified course entry requirements; AND
- Provide a copy of your Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (i.e. a Year 12 qualification); OR
- Achieve and Exit level 3 score with the Australian Core Skills Frame work assessments in reading and maths, which will show that you have the capability to be successful in the course. This is done through two short tests as part of your enrolment process.

Online and distance study students will have the benefit of self-paced study with the average student able to complete the course within 6 months studying 12 hours per week. Most online programs will allow students up to 2 years to complete the course.
Students wishing to study via classroom delivery should speak to a CoursesNow consultant to discuss provider options. Most programs run for a number of consecutive days in intense mode or as a year-long course of study.
