The Certificate IV in Small Business Management is designed to lead graduates into a position as a small business owner or manager and to provide practical and relevant tools that are easy to apply to a large spectrum of industries.
College Australia is an approved Registered Training Organisation that delivers the Certificate IV in Small Business Management in an online and blended workshop delivery method and works closely with the QLD state government to offer a range of QLD state funded education incentives. The Certificate IV in Small Business Management course attracts funding through the Higher Level Skills program.
This qualification provides skills and knowledge to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and to analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. Typically, those that hold this qualification would provide leadership and guidance to others within the context of a small business.
What is the Higher Level Skills program?
The Higher Level Skills program provides eligible individuals with access to one subsidised training place in selected certificate IV level and above qualifications or priority skill sets. The aim is to assist individuals to gain the higher-level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries or to transition to university to further their studies. Employers may also be able to access training to address workforce development needs.
Are you eligible?
To be eligible for this funding you must meet the below eligibility criteria:
- QLD resident aged 15+
- No longer enrolled in secondary school
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Must not hold and/or be enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher level qualification (Not including qualifications obtained at school)
Please note that note once you have completed a qualification under the Higher Skills program you no longer be eligible for further funding.
The delivery of this Business Management course is dependant on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The duration all depends on how much gap training will be required. Gap training is the units that students will have to study as they could not claim RPL on them. The trainer will advise this upon completion of a RPL assessment.
