The Certificate IV in Business is ideal for those in administration roles looking to develop foundational business skills and broaden their career pathway into other areas. Graduates will acquire basic skills in business operations including accounting, administration, legal issues, marketing and human resources, as well as social media, project management and IT.
Having successfully completed the Certificate IV in Business, students can move on to attain a range of diploma qualifications, which is ideal for managers or aspiring managers who aim to apply new management skills and have them formally recognised and assessed towards a qualification.

For entry into the Certificate IV in Business, you need to:
- have completed Australian Year 11 or equivalent; OR
- have a Certificate III; OR
- achieve and Exit level 3 score with the Australian Core Skills Frame work assessments in reading and maths, which will show that you have the capability to be successful in the course. This is done through two short tests as part of your enrolment process.
Course duration is dependent on study mode.
Online and distance study students will have the benefit of self-paced study with students to complete the course within 30 weeks under a structured program. However, some online programs allow up to 2 years to complete the course.
Students wishing to study via classroom delivery can study full-time to complete this qualification in 15 weeks or part-time to complete it in 30 weeks.
