Please note the SIS30313 Certificate III in Fitness qualification has been superseded on the National Register www.training.gov.au, which means a new version of the qualification is available. Students can continue studying the qualification for 12 months after the superseded date.
The Certificate III in Fitness is a comprehensive entry-level qualification that will enable you to start working as a personal trainer or group instructor at a fitness centre or gym.
The course will cover:
- Fitness client services
- Fitness risk and safety
- Fitness instruction
- Anatomy and physiology
- Fitness assessment and programming
- Strength and conditioning
Please note course fees do not include the Provide First Aid component of the course which is a requirement to complete the Certificate III in Fitness. Provide First Aid can be purchased separately.
Successful completion of the Certificate III in Fitness will allow graduates to become a fitness instructor, including providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs.
This course can also lead to a career pathway in sports and fitness centre management as well as coaching, sports administration and complementary areas such as health and nutrition.
