Business analysis is a growing sector in the space between IT, project management and business with strong demand for the critical thinking and complex problem solving skills of the right person.
BCS is the Chartered Institute for IT, which champions the global IT profession. A BCS certification provides international recognition for an IT practitioner's business analysis skills. This British Computer Society (BCS) certification is accredited by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
The Business Analysis Practice explores a practical framework for operational improvement and provides clear terms of reference for a successful technology project enhancing systems, process and the overall business.
Over three days of theory, practical exercises and case studies, you’ll explore fundamental and advanced skills within BCS’s Business Analysis Maturity Model including SWOT and gap analysis as well as stakeholder management. You’ll learn how to extract the views of all stakeholders and use business activity modelling to map and redefine business processes.
There are no entry requirements for the Business Analysis Practice but understanding of the IT and business environment is highly recommended.
Course duration is 3 days and classroom only. Students are assessed through a one-hour, open-book, scenario-based essay-style examination.
