The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) will once again activate its annual research project, which will involved canvassing the feedback of more than 300,000 students in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The 2013 Student Outcomes Survey will allow students from TAFE institutes, private registered training organisations and community education providers to rate their training experience and provide feedback on their education. NCVER has designed the survey to capture information on vocational students’ employment outcomes and satisfaction with their training.
“The survey will help training providers and governments improve the quality and relevance of training, and [help] prospective students decide which training is right for them," said Sandra Pattison, general manager of Statistics at NCVER.
As an incentive to complete the survey, respondents will be eligible to receive a cash prize from a $13,000 pool. The results will be released in December 2013.
The Student Outcomes Survey is conducted on behalf of the Australian, state and territory governments. For more information, see the NCVER Student Outcomes Survey FAQ page.
