The Real Estate Institute of Victoria
The REIV Training department provides a wide and diverse range of training and professional development programs for real estate professionals.
The delivery of compulsory core and elective courses, designed to assist Members in maintaining their skills and knowledge base, are central to the activities in the REIV Training department.
For new entrants to the industry, the REIV provides entry level courses including the Agent's Representative Course and Traineeship in Real Estate (Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307. Both of these courses have provided an invaluable basis upon which new recruits have developed their careers towards executive sales and property management positions.
Courses for the full licensing or estate agent's license are also provided by the department. This course is called the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP07. It is made up of 24 units of competency (three of which are the units prescribed for the Agent's Representative Course). Each of these units has a written assessment that needs to be completed to a competent standard before a statement of attainment can be awarded. There are no exams. This delivery mode has proved to be extremely popular with industry professionals and continues to attract real estate practitioners who wish to fast track their career development.
