Successful students will receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment for HLFS11A Develop food safety programs from the Health Training Package HLT02.Training and qualifications are delivered by CFT NSW Registered Training Organisation 91230.Food Safety Programs compliant with Standard 3.2.1 will shortly be required for all Hospitals, Aged Care facilities and other similar facilities providing potentially hazardous food to vulnerable persons. This workshop has been developed to assist facilities to comply with Standard 3.2.1 and the new regulation and is a two-day program. Day 2 is conducted 4 weeks after Day 1 and will primarily be a follow-up for participants to ensure that the development of the Food Safety Program is on-trackand compliant with Standard 3.2.1. Students are guided through the process of developing and implementing a comprehensive HACCP-based Food Safety Program using the ndustry Guideand Audit Guidelines that have been developed by the NSW Food Authority. Prerequisite: Please note that participants must have completed CFT NSW Food Safety Level 1 or equivalent prior to attending this workshop. A HACCP Food Safety Program is best when developed and implemented by a HACCP team comprising 3 or more individuals from different food-related disciplines within a facility. Members of the HACCP team will typically include Facility Managers or Catering Managers or Chefs-in-charge, Supervisors and other Staff involved in food ordering, storage, handling, preparation, serving and cleaning in aged care facilities.
