Description

While surfing the net, you may have encountered various attractive and useful websites and extolled their capabilities. However, merely using the Internet will not give you an understanding of how these sites were created. HTML and XHTML are integral languages that will transform you from the role of a web surfer to the role of a web designer. Whether you are interested in working on a small personal project or developing large websites in a professional environment, you will need skills in HTML or XHTML. In this course, you will examine the fundamentals of website development and create functional web pages using markup languages such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML), and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Working professionals or end-users who use personal computers and the Internet can take up this course. This course is a hands-on instructional tool that will prepare any non-IT professional who aspires to become an IT professional. This course maps to the CIW: Site Development Foundations exam. In addition, this course can be used as partial preparation for the Certified Internet Web Professional Program (CIW) v5 Foundations Exam (1D0-510).

This course carries the following professional education credits: 0.8 CEUs. For more information on accreditation bodies, please visit www.elementk.com/products/certification-and-accreditation.
