overview
The aim of this module is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to perform advanced massage therapy techniques, and the application of R.I.C.E.R and heat. This course follows on from massage therapy 1 where we learnt basic massage and how to utilise the benefits of effleurage, tapotement, kneading and petrissage. This course will be introduce the therapist to advanced cross fibre techniques, the application of heat and ice to future patients. The knowledge gained will enable the future therapist to treat patients with muscle stiffness and soreness, cramps, spasms and learn the benefit of the combination of massage and stretch, giving the patient a greater range of motion.
