Overview
Thanks to modern computer technology recording music has become easier than ever. A good sounding release is no longer reserved for high-profile acts but is within reach for everyone. While the tools are available, it still takes a lot of experience and skill to artistically arrange sounds in the mix. This course is designed to help students to get better results out of their gear. We'll explain what the knobs do in a simple and comprehensive way. And most importantly: show examples of how to use them. We will discuss different mix-down approaches for different genres and help students to find the mix-down artist within themselves.
Students are welcome to bring their own laptops or work on our computers. It is suggested to bring a good pair of headphones.
