The study of German at VCE level extends students ability to read, write, speak and understand German. It also develops an appreciation and empathy for the history, traditions, cultures and people of Germany, both past and present. German Units 1  4 have three prescribed themes, and topics studied relating to these themes may include: The individual; German speaking Communities; The changing world.
