Course Overview

This course, which is on the ASIC approved register, covers the introductory requirements for providing advice in Insurance Broking and is RG146 compliant.

Insurance advice can be either general advice or personal advice. This course covers both. On completion of the course you will be able to assist clients to establish protection strategies for risk management using life and general insurance products.

It is essential that the Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) be completed prior to, or in conjunction with this or any of the other specialist financial planning product courses. You will be able to give your clients advice in this area as long as you are an accredited authorised representative of an AFSL Licence holder.

    AAMC offers flexible options for your learning, to suit business lifestyles and preferred learning styles, meeting the needs of individual learners and complying with workplace planning issues for companies.

    This is a one day face to face training course, however it is available online or by correspondence.

    National recognition

    AAMC proudly recognises the qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). If you have already commenced and completed some of the units of competency outlined in this program you simply need to advise us of this, provide a copy of your certificates and you will automatically receive recognition for those units. That is, you will not need to redo them. We will provide you with a fee commensurate to the completion of the remaining units only.

    Course duration

    AAMC allows six months for completion of all its courses. Within this framework, timescales are dependent on your commitment, motivation and other life priorities and activities. For some people this may be a matter of days or weeks, for others it may be the full six months.
