You'll learn everything you need to start an exciting career in the fitness industry with Australian Fitness Network’s Elite Personal Trainer course. Comprising two qualifications, graduates of the Elite Personal Trainer (ePT) course will be qualified to become a personal trainer and gym instructor. Studying with Australian Fitness Network will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be a part of a dynamic and exciting industry, enabling you to make a difference to the health and fitness of yourself and others.
The course covers everything a personal trainer needs to know to start their career, including: essentials of exercise science, the foundations of fitness instruction and conditioning, effective communication and client coaching, health and sport nutrition, starting your own fitness business and so much more.

Course structure
The Certificate III in Fitness, specializing in Gym Instruction, is comprised of 24 competencies clustered into 12 modules.
Successful completion of the Certificate III in Fitness (Gym Instruction) is the pre-requisite for continuing onto your Certificate IV in Fitness.
The Certificate IV in Fitness, specializing in Personal Training, is comprised of 19 competencies clustered into 10 modules.
The course is self-paced, allowing you the freedom and flexibility to complete your study in and around your lifestyle, however each certificate is to be completed within a 6 month timeframe.
You will be assessed in a number of different ways:
- Online knowledge checks- these online quizzes are graded automatically providing you with instant results
- Short answer questions/programs- assessed personally by your online trainers, these tasks give you the opportunity to start preparing for your career in the industry and are accompanied by detailed feedback from industry professionals
- Practical tasks- these tasks allow you to put your theory into action and demonstrate your newly developed skills in real-life environments.

Entry and Course Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification if you enrol in the Certificate III (Gym Instruction) and the Certificate IV in Fitness as a package.
However, it is strongly recommended that students are currently regularly attending a fitness facility and are familiar with the roles that exist within the fitness industry.
