Course overview

This course is for people who wish to develop the skills to be able to train and assess in the Australian vocational education and training (VET) sector. Achievement of this qualification satisfies the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework. You will learn how to plan, organise and deliver training; plan and implement assessment activities; and how to design training programs that meet client needs.

Course structure

The course structure below shows what you must do to complete this course. Units/modules are arranged in groups and sometimes also in subgroups.

You must complete each group as specified as well as following the course completion instructions. If a course contains optional groups there will be a statement at the top of the course indicating how many you must do. At the top of any group containing optional subgroups there will be a statement saying how many you must do.

Course contents

A total of 10 units must be completed - 7 core units plus 3 electives units.

Students must have access to a workplace or simulated workplace activities is needed to  complete assessment tasks for this qualification.

Entry Requirements

NSW School Certificate (or equivalent). To give you the greatest chance of successfully completing this qualification it is strongly recommended that students have: · Current experience in your specific industry · Sound written and spoken English language skills to read, interpret and research technical documentation and to communicate effectively. · Able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week to your studies. · Access to video recording equipment · Access to a workplace environment in order to deliver training sessions.
