Licensee - Liquor Act

Course Overview

Licensee - Liquor Act is specifically for those applying for liquor licences  for : Restaurateurs, nightclub, caterers, motel operators, functions and vessels.

The Liquor Act 1982 requires applicants for the above licences to complete a Liquor Administration Board approved Licensees’ course. The Licensee course is made up of four seperate areas. Depending on the applicants previous experience, different combinations of modules wil be required for a successful liquor licence application.

• If all four modules of the Licensee - Liquor Act (above) are booked together the cost of the Licensee - Liquor Act = $530. 
• These courses provide potential liquor licence holders with an understanding of their relevant trading entitlements, the scope of the State’s liquor laws and the disciplinary provisions for non-compliance.

To make an application to the board for a Liquor License in NSW you must have:

• Licensee Course
• RSA
• Business Practices

Exemptions for the Business Practices module may be granted to applicants who have previously held an on-license or who have had substantial managerial experience in licensed premises. To seek exemptions first contact the Principal Registrar of the Licensing Court on telephone: 02 9995 0300.
