Hospitality Traineeships

What is a Traineeship?

A traineeship is a contractual partnership between:

  • A eligible Trainee (employee)
  • An Employer
  • A RTO - Registered Training Organisation. (Provision of Training / Assessment.)
  • A NAC - New Apprenticeship Centre. (Establishment of Traineeship, Government Administration and forms, Incentive payments)
  • Traineeships are based on learning and developing skills through a combination of hands on experience and structured training. R&C NSW delivers a flexible delivery Traineeships across NSW in the Hospitality and Retail sectors. A flexible delivery traineeship is one that takes place mostly in the workplace. The Trainee still spends 20% of his/her working time learning, but under the supervision of a designated staff member who has the experience to coach the trainee. Some modules will be delivered in a classroom situation such as Responsible Service of Alcohol, Safe Food Handling, Team-leader or Customer Service.

Assessment takes place in the workplace at a time that is convenient to your business. R&C NSW use only Industry Qualified ACCESS licensed assessors to ensure quality of assessment.

Traineeships vary in duration from 1-3 years and are also available on a part time basis. At the end of the traineeship, successful trainees receive a nationally recognized qualification, listing the modules competence has been achieved in.
