Course Overview

Heavy Vehicle Skills Upgrade - Heavy Rigid aims to:

• Upgrade the safety, performance and skills of heavy rigid truck drivers who may not have driven recently.
• Enhance professionalism and awareness whilst encouraging a positive driving attitude.

Five (5) full days (38 hrs)

Entry Requirements/Designed For

Participants must already hold a Heavy Rigid driver's licence.

The course is designed for Heavy Rigid driver's licence holders who require retraining to improve their skills to a standard accetable by prospective employers. It is particularly suitable for individuals who although holding a current HR licence, have not driven trucks for some time and need retraining to reach a standard of competence needed for employment.

Certification

A Training Statement of Attainment and Driver Evaluation report willl be issued at completion of the course to participants demonstrating the required standard of competence.

Training conducted on this course aligns to the following units of competence from the Training Package: TDT02, Transport and Distribution (Road Transport).
