Heavy Vehicle - Assessment & Licence Testing - Victoria

Course Overview

To evaluate the driving skills and traffic interaction behaviour of heavy vehicle drivers by providing an initial assessment of the driver and then perform a Licence Test.

Entry Requirements/Designed For

• Candidates for licence testing must meet VicRoads pre-requisites for the licence class they are seeking.
• This program is designed for drivers who believe they have the necessary skills and knowledge to be tested for the licence class they desire, without prior training delivered by DECA Training.

Certification

A DECA Training Driver Evaluation report will be issued to each participant.

Testing is in accordance with VicRoads licensing requirements.

Training conducted on this course aligns to the following unit of competence from the Training Package: TDT30202 Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Road Transport).

• TDTC197B - Drive Vehicle
• TDTC297B - Drive Light Rigid Vehicle; or
• TDTC397B - Drive Medium Rigid Vehicle; or
• TDTC497C - Drive Heavy Rigid Vehicle; or
• TDTC597C - Drive Heavy Combination Vehicle; or
• TDTB497B - Carry out Vehicle Inspection

Drivers will not be assessed to obtain a qualification as part of this program. Those who do require a formal assessment against the units of competence, may make a booking for a competency based assessment at another time and at a further cost.
