Course Overview

Designing a Secure Windows 2000 Network teaches the knowledge and skills needed to design secure Windows 2000 networks, for small, medium and enterprise networks. Participants primarily learn how to identify network security risks and how Windows 2000 technologies can be used to minimise these.

During the course, candidates will learn to design, implement and maintain secure access for local network users, design and implement secure access for remote users and remote offices, design the implementation of secure access between private and public networks, and to plan and implement E-Commerce security and data communications for trusted business partners.

Audience

Windows 2000 network administrators, professionals and design systems engineers, responsible for the design of secure Windows 2000 networking infrastructures, MCP and MCSE candidates.

Prerequisites

Completion of course (E-1560) Update from Windows NT to Windows 2000 or (E-2154) Implementing Win2000 Directory Services, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
