If you love caring for children but don't necessarily want to work in an early childhood care role, the Certificate IV in Children's Services could be the course for you.
Designed for people who need a qualification to work with children in vacation programs and out of school hours services, the Certificate IV in Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care) will equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to provide this valuable service.
The Certificate IV in Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care) is recommended for carers who would like to work with school-aged children in before/after school care and/or vacation programs.
The course covers how to plan activities and provide care for children of school age, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.
Students will also need to undergo 120 hours of supervised work placement to give them the practical skills required to care for children in this role.
