Students will undertake advanced courses in 3D modelling, texturing, lighting and animation for games; animation and special effects for film and television; and script writing, character development and animation for virtual environments, and leave with an internationally recognised qualification and a comprehensive portfolio of individual and a major, group animation work.

Undergraduates will also be able to access an internship program that offers relevant work experience and crucial industry contacts, which will prepare them for creative and production roles. Additionally, students will study communications design, project management, business and copyright law in order to prepare them for the commercial aspects of the industry and equip them with the critical, problem-solving and management skills for ongoing career success.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook, employment for designers in this field over the next five years is expected to grow very strongly.
