Course Overview

Agitator Driver Training provides skills, knowledge to enable heavy vehicle drivers to correctly and safely operate and maintain concrete agitators.

Entry Requirements/Designed For

This course is open to any individual holding the appropriate heavy vehicle license (usually a heavy rigid licence).

The course is designed for drivers who have joined the concrete industry, who will be operating concrete agitators and require the skills and knowledge necessary to competently operate thhis equipment. The course is also suitable for existing concrete agitator drivers whose skills need upgrading or refreshing.

Assessment And Certification

Participant's competence in each area is assessed by practical demonstration. A certificate of competence is issued to each participant demonstrating the required performance standard.

Cost

This course is delivered on site using the clients vehicles. Travel and accommodation expenses are extra.

Content

This course includes the following modules:

NRT 324 Agitator/ Mixer Inspection and Testing

• Inspect Concrete Agitator / mixer and associated equipment
• Check job safety accessories
• Identify and assess faults
• Record and report results of inspection and testing

NRT 325 Concrete Product Loading and Delivery

• Load agitator/mixer
• Deliver load
• Discharge product on site
• Complete delivery process

NRT 326 Agitator/Mixer Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning procedures
• Perform daily maintenance procedures
