Students will learn about PC hardware and system maintenance procedures and gain all the skills needed to perform all basic computer hardware tasks. As well students will gain the credentials to become a certified Computer Service Technician. The course shows you how to identify proper procedures for installing and configuring system components and devices, diagnosing and troubleshooting system problems and whether they’re hardware or software related.
Participants will also learn how to identify popular motherboards, types of memory, bus structures, networking fundamentals, system maintenance, troubleshooting and how to define the print process and identify procedures for servicing printers. This course is highly recommended in conjunction with the A+ Certification Operating System course to enhance the student’s skills in the basic system administration of MS-DOS,Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 XP and 2003.
Hard Disk Management for DOS 6.22 and Introduction to Personal Computers Using Windows 95/98 or equivalent knowledge. No prior technical experience required.
