Manage effective workplace relationships

Module/Unit Purpose

Frontline managers play an important role in developing and maintaining positive relationships in internal and external environments so that employees, customers, suppliers and the organisation can achieve planned outputs and outcomes. By the end of this unit you will be able to manage information and ideas to ensure that all parties contribute effectively and ensure that consultation processes are developed and enhanced and policies, procedures and processes are researched, developed and implemented to ensure that information and ideas are effectively captured and utilised. By demonstrating effective interpersonal styles and methods you will gain and maintain trust and confidence from all stakeholders. To further enhance this process you will learn how to establish and develop systems to ensure that all stakeholders are treated with integrity, respect and empathy. You will also gain knowledge and skills in how to identify, form and build strategic networks which will benefit the team and the organisation. You will also be capable of identifying, developing and implementing strategies to deal with workplace difficulties. This will include the knowledge, skill and understanding of management processes to identify and manage poor work performance, identify and manage conflict situations and the development and management of guidance, counselling and support services to all colleagues.
