You are eligible if you are employed or have been offered an apprenticeship in your chosen field.
How do I apply?
Applicants will be interviewed. You need to call the department on 9425 5612 at Richmond for an appointment. Interviews are held every Monday at 1pm.
How will I be selected for this course?
Applicants will be interviewed and may have to complete a basic literacy/numeracy test.
How long is the course?
The course involves 390 hours of part-time study.
Where and how can I study?
The course is offered at the Coburg or Richmond campus. You can do your training by block release (a week or more at a time) or one day a week or at your workplace. Please discuss your options when you enrol.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods and may take place in your workplace. You will know in advance about the type of assessment and how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be given this information.
What will I study?
The subjects/competencies you will study will be discussed upon enrolment with your teacher/coordinator.
